Diaper & Menstrual Product Giveaways 

The Junior League of Greater Elmira-Corning began hosting regular Diaper & Menstrual Product Giveaways in 2021 to support local women and families in need of these essential supplies. To date, JLGEC has given away over 50,000 diapers and 25,000 menstrual products. 

Fall of 2024 the League identified an opportunity to create a bigger impact for our community through a partnership with C.I.D.S. JLGEC now partners with C.I.D.S to provide diapers and wipes to families within the Chemung County community. 

Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Developmental Services, Inc. (C.I.D.S.) is a private nonprofit agency established in 1972 in Elmira, NY. Serving residents of Chemung County, the agency provides a continuum of infant, child, and family services relating to the healthy development of children dedicated to creating and implementing an integrated interdisciplinary system of identification, referral, and single-source access to child development services.

Mission: To enable each child to reach his or her developmental potential in the most cost-effective way.
